A "qualified" electronic signature is presumed to be reliable. Less secure electronic signatures are admissible in court but have no presumption of reliability. They only constitute the beginnings of proof in writing, like faxes or e-mails. If the validity of the document is challenged, additional evidence must be provided to prove the link between the signed document and the signatory.
